Mom and Dad survived the night but there were lots of strong aftershocks through the night. Neither one slept well, if at all last night. They are still feeling aftershocks even now. We were able to account for all of our CrossWorld missionaries.
The bible school building is a total loss. Mom is still very badly shaken up and bruised. No one is going inside for very long. Dad uninjured as far as I know and is working with others to reach out to the missing/injured in our neighborhood. There is still no word from about the missing students.
The generator is operational but still no water. They are concerned about the walls of the cistern and cracking. If they are cracked, water will be very difficult to get running again.
They are now reporting some damage in the Southwestern city of Le Cayes (pronounced Lay-Ki). No word on damage or loss of life but the pictures show some buildings have collapsed with people inside. This city is about 50 mi southwest of Haiti.
